Do you wanna be a Hive millionaire? What about a Hive-backed dollar millionaire?...

Now, I don't know what are the chances for me to ever become a Hive or HBD millionaire but there are for sure a few such accounts among us. The Hive millionaires are nothing new in the city, but HBD millionaires are a new breed.

Chances are that you have probably heard/read already about lazy-panda@lazy-panda putting a bit over $1 million in HBD savings, quite recently, and earning something like $16,000 a month in interest on his HBD stake. That's massive, you know...

The man came out of nowhere basically, started buying HIVE on exchanges(especially on Binance), and exchanged that HIVE for HBD on the internal market. Then moved all the liquid HBD into his savings account and started earning interest. We have a legend in the making on Hive and an example of how you exit the fiat world and get yourself fully immersed in crypto.

I don't think he's all in crypto, or even all in HBD, but for someone like me who's pushing towards living fully on crypto and escaping the fiat system for good, this is a good example. As a matter of fact, I was thinking since we were in the past bull market to put most of my profits into HBD savings, but unfortunately, I didn't pull the trigger when I should have.

No mucho profits, sir...

Now we're in the early stages of another bull market and while it is not the time yet to pull out any profits I am however determined to make myself a decent savings account with whatever I will have on the table once my selling targets will be hit.

To me, it is crystal clear that the current economic system is going to crumble. I don't care what the official numbers are, all I see is prices getting higher and higher by the month and that's not encouraging at all... There's also the totalitarian aspect of the current system that's going to make things even worse.

On the other hand...

Crypto is for the people and by the people and it is the only way that I know about which allows you to travel abroad "carrying millions or billions" on you without "leaving any trace".

When it comes to crypto regulations it is crystal clear to me that legislators will go as "hawkish" as possible on that, but when it comes to regulating Hive, it is impossible. As you may know already, Hive has no CEO, leading board, or anything of the like, and HBD being a Hive product, means that no one can have any control over your funds(HBD) other than yourself.

Moreover, having a decent passive income in between bull markets means that I will no longer need to rely on my Hive earnings for anything, and this way I will be able to grow my HP... finally.

I don't know how sustainable the 20% APR will be for the future, but it is a risk I'm planning to take(once I'll put my hands on some cash). Then again... If I will be swinging the crypto waves for many decades ahead, at least I want to "park my money" in between bull markets in a stablecoin that is out of the reach of governments and is paying me interest. What do you think?

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
