Loosing money in whatever instance is definitely not a pleasant experience, the bigger the amount the higher the pain. It's not usually that I get through such experiences, but it sometimes happens.
I have managed so far to stay away from crypto scams. I'm in this thing for over four years now and no Bitconnect or other scam project has managed to lure me in. I guess I have the nose for those.
There are individuals who have lost good money to DeFi rug pulls as well and I feel for them, but not yours truly. I guess whatever looks too good to be true, most often really is.
I got scammed by a Salomon outlet store though, a Romanian one...
On January 1st I placed an order to buy myself a pair of Salomon trekking shoes, for which I paid with crypto by the way using the Binance card and according to the website I was supposed to get in the possession of the shoes in 5-15 working days.
That time has for sure passed and no shoes from Salomon on my feet. I tried to reach out to them, whoever these guys might be, but there's no e-mail address, no phone number, no nothing. Just a damn form that you can fil which definitely ends nowhere.
The site looks legit as hell and it would have never crossed my mind that I could be in for my first scam by ordering a pair of shoes worth close to $100 from their website.
It is the first time I get scammed online tbh and I thought it would never happen. Will have to somehow report this shit so others won't get burned same as I have... Lesson learned though... that's for sure.
