I'm close to a year since I started going to the gym, I wish I had done that in my early '20s, but I have no way of turning back time, so I'm going to be happy and appreciate what I currently have. Working out is excellent and I will probably dedicate a separate post in a different community on how that changed me.
It's never too late to start working out. There's a guy on Twitter who did that at about 53 years of age, he's now 67 and the man looks great and is healthier than the majority of his age related individuals. So, if you think you're too old to get in shape, think again... You might suck in the beginning, but every beginning has an end ;).
I still remember my first day in the gym, all weights seemed too heavy, and the exercises I was being taught by a friend looked so hard to do and so overwhelming for my body. I literally had pain in my muscles overnight for many weeks in a row. Now I no longer experience that. It's become part of my life and it can no longer hurt.
I sucked at gym when I started, but it's OK to suck... It's OK to be a newbie, to not know what to do, whom to ask and what to choose from the variety of information you get that will suit you the best. I'm close to 5 years on Hive and prior to my experience with it, I had never blogged in my entire life.
Should I have to also mention that I sucked at blogging :)?!... My first days, weeks, and even months in here were pretty much similar to my early days of going to the gym. Disorientated, frustrated, doing things for the sake of doing them, and not being productive at all. The same happened with investing in crypto as well.
My first year in crypto was a disaster. I got my first coins in late 2017 and although I was sitting on a decent profit a few months later, I gave everything back to the market, till the last penny. I sure made some money in crypto, that's for sure. Not as much as I would have wished, but I am not a loser.
Hive has had a strong impact on my experience with crypto, I mentioned that on my blog a thousand times already.
So, what is the point of this post? Well, this quote right here: everything you start at you'll suck at so aim is to suck faster. Most of us want our start in every damn thing in life(blogging on Hive included) to be damn perfect. To be appealing, productive, rewarding, and mentally refreshing.
That's not going to happen. You gotta start sloppy, and you got to tumble a couple of times, but you have to know you're gonna fly at some point if staying consistent. During my five years spent on Hive I have seen many users coming and going and the majority of the ones who failed to become "full-time Hivers" sucked at being newbies.
How weird that sounds?!
The same happens with crypto investors. They usually come around near the peak, put their life savings into crypto and leave frustrated and empty-pocketed a few months later. We all lost money in crypto, but what sets us apart is the fact that we jumped back on the horse after the fall.
It's not fun or productive in any way in being a bad trader, or blogger, or having bad training days at the gym, but what's even worse is to quit. Especially when that happens to someone that jumped on the bandwagon with so much excitement in the beginning. So, it's OK to suck, but hurry up doing that and don't spend much time on that level.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
