I won't be heading to the sea this year. While I was yearning for a vacation and envisioning some sandy beach time, financial circumstances aren't painting a rosy picture, so I'll have to content myself with sticking around the house again this year.
However, that doesn't mean I can't savor what's left of this summer, catch some rays, and revel in poolside fun. Fortunately, we have some pretty delightful spots in my vicinity boasting inviting pools where one can while away the day beside the water and amidst majestic landscapes.
Ironically, I hadn't initially planned to make a pool visit today. The day started off on a rather somber note for me. Yet, when a friend of mine extended an invitation, I found myself unable to turn it down.
This marks my inaugural visit to the place. It's known as Casa9, named after the owner's residence number (House number 9). It's owned by a local gentleman and conveniently located at a mere stone's throw from our hometown, approximately 12 km away.
Now, my town is currently teeming with activity due to its annual celebration. However, I must admit I'm not much of an enthusiast for these types of events. As a result, I made a conscious effort to maintain a considerable distance.
I think I saw a banana over there...
Casa9, as it turns out, is a guesthouse boasting an immaculate swimming pool adjacent to the Danube River. Furthermore, they operate a restaurant, and the proprietors also double as boat tour guides. So, it's quite a comprehensive package they offer.
While I wasn't particularly inclined to indulge in a meal there, given that I had just had lunch before leaving home, and having already partaken in several boat cruises in the vicinity, I opted out of those offerings this time around.
Instead, I decided to luxuriate by the water's edge, treating myself to a cocktail, a couple of beers, and even a refreshing lemonade (quite an interesting mix, I admit). A game of ping pong also managed to find its way into my poolside itinerary. Perhaps my next visit will see me hopping onto one of their jetskis for a change of pace.
For now, my interaction mostly consisted of capturing snapshots from around the locale and relishing a couple of leisurely hours by the pool. Undoubtedly, it's a delightful spot, and I'm already looking forward to my next excursion there.
As the hour draws late, it's time to retire to my bed. With that, I extend my warm wishes to you all for a fantastic day ahead and look forward to our next encounter.
