Man, I still remember how pixelated the video games were back when I was a kid and how thrilled I was about playing all sorts of them when I got my first computer. I used to get tons of pirated games from torrents as a teenager and play em all... cuz you know, Romania.
It's well over a decade since I played any game and I doubt I'll get into stuff like that anytime soon. Kids still love these damn "spicy colors and sounds" and the experience such old-school gaming arenas have to offer and you can hardly take them out of such a playground.
Yesterday I went with some friends for a bit of shopping and one of them has a five-year-old daughter that loves playing all sorts of games and as soon as we got there she was definitely gonna be doing some gaming, you can tell that from her reactions of seeing that place. I took the chance and snapped a few pics here and there inside the gaming arena.
Cuz that's what I do :)).
She liked this Batman game a lot and with a bit of help from her father she even won a few battles. While the gaming experience was pretty basic imo I really loved the lights and the sound. It felt like from another world and it also felt like I was "back into the future".
At some point during my childhood this is how the future looked like. It's the year 2023 now, we already have blockchain gaming and I'm curious about what the next 20 years will bring for this industry.
I bet there will be plenty of augmented reality and metaverse-related goodies that the kids of the future will get to play with. Some of them will probably make the most out of the tokenization process that's taking place and is about to hit many industries in the years to come.
That's about it for today, folks. I wish you all a great day/evening and see you next time.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
