We're all in here for the tech, I know that, but for the moment these tech backed digital assets that we talk about all day every day are still paired against fiat and intentionally or not we are somehow tied with their price fluctuations and dollar valuation.
I sure know I am, although I have never let dollar valuation blind my vision for crypto. This vision however, has matured over time although it is still quite imature when putting it in the grand equation of the blockchain revolution...:).
I am in crypto since late 2017 and for all this time I have always had skin in the game. I've at times enjoyed the roller coaster and at times felt frustration towards such rides, but after a while I've come to terms with it.
I also made some money with this thing, thus I can't say I'm in it strictly for the tech. After all these years, though, an important question arises and that is: what's the best thing crypto bought you?
I wished it was a fancy car as I am quite passionate about cars or a wooden house, cuz that would be my dream house, but neither is the case. The best thing that crypto has bought me so far is free time and financial sovereignty. Being able to live off crypto for almost two years is the best thing financially related that has happened to me.
I was always an employee, or a business partner at most, but never actually running my own shit and being happy about that. Now, although I can't afford everything I have on my bucket list, by spending crypto money, I do have a lot of free time.
It's not like I'm travelling all the time, but my Hive experience for example or the blogging that I do on a daily basis it is still to be called free time. I rarely set a morning alarm on my watch ;). Being in crypto and earning crypto also feels like you're no longer a connected part of the society.
I don't feel much tied with the fiat system, I'm mostly interested in what happens in crypto, cuz that's my society now. But, what about you, what's the best thing crypto bought you?
