It may not be the most appropriate time to discuss bull markets and new all-time highs for crypto when we find ourselves in the midst of a bloodbath. Nevertheless, despite feeling a bit down about the market conditions, I firmly believe that we will witness parabolic runs and new ATHs for many cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin.
While there are various meme coins and obscure shit coins like PEPE that seem to behave as if we're already in a full-blown bull market, overall, the sentiment in crypto has been lacking bullishness lately.
When New ATHs?
Well, my simple reasoning leads me to believe that we won't see new ATHs for Bitcoin until the next halving. Although the price action of BTC may not precisely mirror that of 2019-2021, I anticipate history repeating itself, with the peak for BTC occurring around one and a half years after the halving.
I believe it's more of a psychological factor rather than solely a result of the reduction in mining rewards. This would imply that the next BTC ATH would likely take place sometime in late 2025. We still have two more years until then.
It's comforting to know that there's still plenty of room for accumulation, but it's not so great if you depend on crypto for a living.
But...
There's always a "but," and in this case, I want to talk about altcoins. In the case of altcoins, I believe we will see several of them reaching ATHs many months before Bitcoin does. AI coins, despite being driven more by hype than actual productivity, seem to be the new trend in this bull market. Additionally, I have a gut feeling that some altcoins will forge their own paths, distinct from Bitcoin's trajectory.
Before wrapping up this short #askleo post based on assumptions and conjecture, I'd like to briefly share my thoughts on HIVE and LEO as well. Today, @khaleelkazi asked in a #thread when we think LEO will reach parity with HIVE.
Well, I don't believe it will happen too soon. As the upward grind for LEO continues, it will eventually encounter a sell wall, as some investors who bought LEO at $0.03 will start selling once the trade becomes incredibly profitable. However, I can envision LEO reaching parity with HIVE by the end of this year or the beginning of 2024.
LEO might even have a chance to surpass HIVE in terms of dollar valuation, as it has happened before. Regarding ATHs, I believe LEO will reach its peak sooner than HIVE, but I don't foresee HIVE reaching its peak before BTC does.
That's all from me today. It has been an incredibly nerve-consuming day, but that's part of the hustle. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on when we might witness new ATHs in crypto. Feel free to pick your favorites and share your timelines.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
