Sometimes you have to think big, other times you have to be greedy when others are fearful and you should always stay grounded, so you won't loose your head during both turmoiled or euphoric times.
There was some guy on Steem, about four years ago, I guess dobartim was his account name and this guy was posting, right after we entered the bear market market, all sorts of price targets that STEEM would achieve in that year(2018). All big nunmbers.
None of them was achieved and I doubt he is still active on Hive or Steem. It's pointless to compare Steem with Hive, that comparison would be like putting side by side a horse carriage and a combustion engine vehicle and trying to find the best of them.
Hive has decoupled from its past at quite the right time and it has managed to achieve a lot in its less than two years of existence. The incentives are there for further development and I am highly confident that at some point, especially during the peak era of WEB3, it will become a top blockchain.
So, what about a $100 HIVE?
It's the question that crossed my mind a few minutes ago and sprung into this regular #askleo shit post of mine. Crypto is somehow poised to create insane levels of abundance for the ones getting involved with it, so why wouldn't Hive add to that?
HIVE is currently trading at around $1.4 and reaching $100 per coin would translate to a 70X from this level, which is not insane, but not easily achievable on a short time frame either. I'd say that at some point, during this decade we will get there though.
So, can we handle a $100 HIVE? How life on Hive would be if the main layer token reaches that level?
Well, I guess that at that point all of us would reach financial independence based on almost any activity conducted on Hive. I also foresee a mass exodus of users of all sorts coming to Hive. You always have all sort of insects, not just bees, attracted by the honey pots, you know.
Technically, I don't know how the chain will handle such floods of people, but I sure know the whole situation will change lives. There are going to be conflicts as well, it happened during the golden times of Steem as well, but at the same time, such an era would put us on the radar.
For example, I only found more about Elrond only after it got close to $100. I knew about this Romanian project since its inception, but thought it was going to be nothing more but a wanna be one. How wrong was I... Numbers make you public and a $100 HIVE would mean the world for us and great marketing at the same time.
What you guys think of this nonsense of idea of mine?
