The crypto market has entered a rather dull phase at the moment, with Bitcorn neither pumping nor dumping. But to me, this is perfectly natural and healthy. I'm not a day trader, so I don't mind this kind of market behavior. It seems the long-awaited financial institutions are busy loading up while the plebs are still waiting on the sidelines.
None of my friends are currently involved in crypto. I do have a couple of friends who have been into cryptocurrencies for a while, even before I got involved, but they are merely observers of the market without actively participating. One of them is also into leverage trading, but there's not much to leverage trade right now.
Renowned investors used to say that one should buy when there's blood in the streets, even if it's your own blood. But when it comes to crypto, I would say one should also buy during times of boredom. These periods of market boredom often present great investment opportunities, while selling during times of euphoria is wise.
Speaking of friends, one of them was incredibly excited a few months ago about "pumping DOGE" through dollar-cost averaging, and yet now, despite believing that BTC will reach around $180K, he's completely out of the market. I don't understand that logic. If you truly believe it will go that high, what the hell are you waiting for?
No one ever made money by waiting or staying in stablecoins. Almost all altcoins, including HIVE, are down about 90% from their all-time highs, and still, people wait for confirmation. What better confirmation do they need? The floor is practically palpable, so why not buy in as plebs do?
Personally, I have never held stablecoins in crypto. I have always kept a coin or two in my wallet. However, this isn't necessarily a winning strategy during bear markets, as holding depreciating assets is not advisable unless you bought them near the bottom.
I don't have any specific forecast for BTC this bull cycle. My gut feeling tells me it will exceed $100,000, but I've learned not to make predictions anymore. What I do know is that I'm almost fully invested in crypto. I took a risky bet on this, entered a bit too soon, but I'm certain I'll start selling once euphoria blinds the masses again.
And trust me, it will happen for sure. I have another friend who serves as a good indicator for me. In late 2021, he asked for my help to buy crypto, and I did. But now, when there are countless life-changing opportunities, he's completely silent about it. He has no technical understanding of crypto and blockchain...
...yet, if the market were to make waves and those waves reverberated on social media, he'd give me a call asking about his investment. For now, he remains quiet. How about you? Have you filled your crypto bags, or are you still on the sidelines?
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
