fears of monogamy // a poem

I fall a little in love
with everyone who lets me past their walls.
It's hard not to fall for someone,
when you see their soul,
their value,
their truth.
But how do you find your soulmate
when yours feels a pull
toward so many.
I don't know
if I can devote my life to one
without feeling like I was torturing myself
by suppressing so much love
that I want nothing more with
than to give.
