The Giant Trevally (Caranx Ignobilis), also known as the barrier trevally, the giant kingfish or ulua, is a large marine fish species belonging to the jack family, Carangidae. Giant trevally fish are scattered throughout the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region, with a range stretching from South Africa in the west to Hawaii in the east, including Japan in the north and Australia in the north.

In Aceh, this fish is known as Rambeue or Geureupoh if the size is over 10 kg. Trawl fishermen in Kampung Jawa, Kutaraja, Banda Aceh often catch these fish, usually in pairs: male and female. For one 8-10 kg of GT, the land trawlers sell it for IDR 350 thousand. In traditional markets, the price is even more expensive, because they sell it in kilograms.
