Are you all ready to see our adventure. I think you must really like adventurers. So on this occasion I and other friends were still given safety in carrying out the task of monitoring protected forest areas. Certainly one of you has experienced or has carried out monitoring as we are currently doing.
And for us to do this activity it takes 6 days to be in the forest, of course when we are in the forest we feel anxious when night falls, because when we are in the forest, we cannot communicate with other people's Smartphones anymore, because the forest we are going through it is very difficult to get telecommunication network. So what's going on in the city we don't know at all in our 6 day period of work.
The route that we took was quite difficult for two-wheeled vehicles to pass, because the road was too slippery due to heavy rain every day after noon. So we have to walk within 6 days.
When the afternoon arrived, around 5 o'clock, we immediately looked for a place where it was safe to set up camp, of course on the edge of a flowing stream. In order to get clean water and adequate bathing. Morning arrived we finished cooking and breakfast, so we went back on our way again. In 6 days, we always move places. At noon we came back again to cook the perfunctory rice and vegetables we had prepared.
While on patrol, we encountered many discoveries. Especially illegal logging and opening of new land, which can result in damaged forests. Almost all forests in Aceh province have been damaged by logging, new land clearing and gold miners which can be polluted by running water, even in recent years, hot temperatures have begun to be felt due to the fact that the average forest in this province continues to be destroyed.
Our goal is to conduct forest patrols, to prevent or provide socialization to those we find while on patrol. And we don't have the authority to arrest the perpetrators of forest destruction because we are an institution founded by CRU ACEH. However, on the ground, what we can convey to the actors is only a solution so that the forest is not a target for profit.
In this 6 day patrol, we have only 5 members, consisting of 2 forest rangers and 3 people from the agency including @nasseir and also @dayat92 along with myself. This routine patrol activity is always there almost every month, but different members for the next month to carry out the next patrol.
Actually the mountain we climbed is not as high as the mountain in your area, but this is very tiring for us to do this patrol.
