Blockchain technology is gaining the interest of people and the crypto community is gradually increasing. Blockchain technology has touched and solved several problems surfacing from different sectors of technology such sectors are health, finance and banking industry. Blockchain as a decentralized immutable, distributed ledger that allows the storage of data that cannot be accessible or modify by third party. There are some problems surfacing from the blockchain which many projects are trying to solve. This problems are high transaction fees, slow confirmation of transactions and others. Today, I will like to discuss a project name SKYNET, that had it's own view of solving the major problems surfacing within the blockchain.
Introduction to SKYNET
Skynet project was established under the umbrella of Opensingularity foundations, a non-profit organization in Singapore. They aim at creating an intelligent machines that will enable the sharing of knowledge, communication and interaction within the blockchain. They are here with a new innovation of linking all intelligent entities and blockchain in one decentralized system known as blockchain chip. Skynet is further categorized into two framework:
- Skynet core
- Skynet Open network
SKYNET CORE
Skynet core is integrated with AI processing in the form of TPUs or NPUs. This blockchain allows the usage of cryptocurrency and IoT blockchain network in IoT devices. This is another framework of the blockchain that can also be referred as a neutral processing chip which has three different components:
- ARM or RISC-v based CPU
- Skynet open network crpytographic engine
- Neutral processing unit

This provide the interface for Linux within the SON blockchain and also create a modern ISA in which many different companies can provide hardware implementation of the RISC-V architecture. Therefore creating a community of diverse vendors within the skynet ecosystem.
Skynet open network crpytographic engine
This aspect executes any cryptographic computation that are connected with SON blockchain. SON also stores private keys and other data provided by other companies. Skynet open network enable scaling and fastness in confirmation of billion transactions within a second.
Neutral processing unit
This can be referred to brain of IoT device like the RAM for computer. This provide fast execution of transactions and also enable adequate security by implementing biometric form of verification. It also speed up different kinds of network algorithms such as DNNs, CNNs and RNNs.
SKYNET OPEN NETWORK (SON)
SON is part of skynet strategies of tackling the problems surfacing from the existing blockchain networks. This sophisticated protocols gives room to support billion of machine to machine interactions. The architecture overview of SON is more accessible and ease to used compare to other blockchain network such as Bitcoin, ethereum etc. Skynet open network uses BFT proof of stake which makes the system scalable and faster than other consensus. This blockchain can make one billion transactions per seconds making its the first of it kind. The blockchain had very low fees that is less that 0.01$ compare to to other blockchain. Skynet open network consist of four components: SON fabric, SON nova, SON idem and SON singularity.
Skynet token details
Skynet token with a ticker SON is an official token of the skynet ecosystem. This token can be used to purchase good and service within the blockchain. It also has capacity to be stake. SON holders will enjoy special discount using the tokens
