Reaching Modern Diamond III and Opening My Rewards in Splinterlands
Playing Splinterlands has always brought me kinds of experiences. Sometimes I receive a card from a reward sometimes I win a tough battle and sometimes I feel happy merely by seeing my account progress. Today was another day for me because I finally managed to unlock Modern Diamond III.
It was a moment that reminded me effort I have put into this game. Reaching a league is not about moving from one level to another. For me it represents battles, victories, defeats, card upgrades, strategy changes and a lot of patience.
The game congratulated me mentioning my power and sense of strategy. Seeing that message after playing battles made the achievement feel even more special. I know that Diamond League battles are not easy so reaching Diamond III gave me a lot of motivation to continue improving my account.
My Diamond III Loot
After unlocking Diamond III I received the opportunity to claim the Diamond III rewards. The reward screen showed chests. Sometimes the rewards are simple while times I get something that immediately makes me happy. This time I received cards along with Merits, Potion Charges, a Rare Scroll and other rewards. I started revealing the rewards one by one and every new item made the opening more interesting.
Some Nice Cards From the Rewards
Among the rewards I received cards including Pixie-Knife Hurler, Thornmaw Berserker, Phlegmor, Husk of the Hunter and Magmaforged. One of the cards I received was Pixie-Knife Hurler. Getting a card from a reward is always a feeling for me. Even if I do not use a card in every battle I like adding cards to my collection because they can become useful in Rulesets and different Mana situations. I also received Thornmaw Berserker. Getting copies of the card is especially useful for me because one of my goals in Splinterlands is to gradually level up my cards. Of collecting new cards I also want to combine duplicate copies and make my existing cards stronger. I also received Phlegmor and Husk of the Hunter. I was particularly happy to see copies of Husk of the Hunter among the rewards. Having cards gives me the opportunity to work toward levels in the future. Another interesting card I received was Magmaforged. Fire cards are always interesting to me. Adding another Fire Element card to my collection made this reward opening more enjoyable.
Merits and Potion Rewards
The rewards were not limited to cards. I also received an amount of Merits. The reward screen showed 101 Merits, 171 Merits, 358 Merits and 492 Merits from chests. For me receiving Merits is also important because they can be useful for Guild-related rewards and Guild Packs. I enjoy participating in the Guild side of Splinterlands so collecting Merits gives me another reason to keep playing and opening packs in the future. I also received Alchemy Potion Charges and Legendary Potion Charges. Seeing several Potion rewards during the opening was another surprise. The Legendary Potion Charges are particularly interesting because they can help when opening rewards where the chance of receiving Legendary cards is involved. Course there is never a guarantee of getting a Legendary card but having these resources is still useful for future reward openings. I also received a Rare Scroll, which was another addition to the reward collection.
Why This Achievement Matters to Me
Reaching Modern Diamond III is important to me because I have been trying to improve my Splinterlands account step by step. Over time I have been collecting cards buying cards when I find them useful upgrading my cards and trying to improve my Summoners. I believe that building a collection takes time. A single card may not always be useful, in every battle. When the right Ruleset and Mana limit appear, that same card can sometimes become very important.
That is one of the things I enjoy most about Splinterlands. I cannot simply depend on one team all the time. I have to think about the Ruleset, Mana limit, enemy strategy, Summoner choice, positions and card abilities before creating my team.
Every battle teaches me something.
Sometimes I make a decision and lose. Of feeling sad I try to see what went wrong. Maybe I chose the Summoner maybe I put a card in the wrong spot or maybe I could have made a better combo. These small lessons help me grow more skilled.
Looking Toward the Next League. Now that I have reached Modern Diamond III I do not want to stop. My next goal is to keep climbing and make my account better. I know battles will get harder as I go up. Opponents will have collections, smart strategies and powerful cards. Because of that I must keep learning and better my team building.
I also want to keep collecting cards and leveling them up. The cards I received today may not all join my lineup away but they are now part of my collection. In the future I may find a battle where one of these cards becomes very useful. That is why I value every card I receive.
Another Memorable Splinterlands Moment. Unlocking Modern Diamond III and opening the rewards was a fun experience. I got cards, such as Pixie-Knife Hurler, Thornmaw Berserker, Phlegmor, Husk of the Hunter and Magmaforged. With those cards I also got Merits, Alchemy Potion Charges, Legendary Potion Charges, a Rare Scroll and other rewards.
For me the biggest reward was not the items. The biggest reward was seeing my account move to a level.
When I look back at my Splinterlands journey I see how much my account has changed. I began by playing battles. Slowly grew more interested in collecting cards upgrading them learning new tactics and reaching higher leagues.
Every new achievement pushes me to keep going. Today Modern Diamond III is another milestone in my Splinterlands journey.
