Today I am very happy share another addition to my Splinterlands card collection. This time I purchased a card called Captains Ghost. I have been playing Splinterlands for a time and collecting new cards is one things I enjoy most about this game. Every time I purchase a card I feel that my collection becomes more useful and interesting. I always try choose cards that I can use in battles. That may help me develop better strategies future. With that thought in mind I decided purchase Captains Ghost and add it my collection.
Captains Ghost is a Rare Water Unit Card. I saw this card in the market. Became interested in its design and abilities. The card has a look, with a ghostly figure surrounded by a beautiful blue water-themed atmosphere. I really like the artwork because it gives the card an identity. The character looks like a ghost warrior and the overall design matches the name Captains Ghost very well. Splinterlands has interesting cards but I always enjoy collecting cards that have unique artwork and a different appearance. This card is another example of a design that caught my attention.
I bought Captains Ghost for 109.61 DEC. I was happy because I wanted another Water card.Sometimes I buy a card because I like its abilities; sometimes I buy a card because I think it will help in a type of battle. For Captains Ghost I liked its look and its potential as a Magic Attack card. I hope using this card in battles will let me see its strengths better.
The Mana Cost of Captains Ghost is 7. In my opinion this is a point when building a team. The amount of Mana changes from battle to battle so I cannot use every card in every situation. When I have a Mana limit I can add Captains Ghost to my lineup with other useful cards. However in a low-Mana battle I may need to choose my cards carefully. I believe that understanding Mana Cost is one of the important parts of building a successful team in Splinterlands.
At Level 1 Captains Ghost has 2 Magic Attack, 1 Speed and 7 Health as shown in the screenshot. Magic Attack is one of the reasons I became interested in this card. Magic Attack is useful because it can deal damage in a way from normal physical attacks. In battles opponents may use cards with Armor to protect their units. A Magic Attack card can be helpful because it can hit the enemys Health without being stopped by Armor. Course the effectiveness of any attack depends on the battle rules and the abilities of the opposing team.
The cards Speed is 1 which is not very high. Its Health is 7. I think Health is a feature because it gives the card a decent amount of durability. A card with Health may survive longer against enemy attacks. However I do not think Captains Ghost should automatically go to the front in every battle. Its low Speed means it may attack later than other cards. Therefore I will need to think about where to place it and which other cards can support it. The right spot may depend on the rules of the battle and the abilities of the monsters in my team.
I noticed that Captains Ghost gets stronger as its level rises. For example at Level 4 the Magic Attack rises to 3. At Level 5 an extra ability appears in the displayed statistics. The higher levels also show changes in Health and other abilities. At Level 8 the card has 4 Magic Attack, 2 Speed and 8 Health along with its displayed abilities. This makes me interested, in collecting copies of the card in the future so that I can level it up.
I believe that upgrading a card is a part of building a stronger collection. When I purchase a card I think not only about how useful Captain’s Ghost is at its current level but also about how Captain’s Ghost might perform after being upgraded. If I can collect copies of Captain’s Ghost I would like to level Captain’s Ghost and see how much difference the improved statistics make in battle. Higher Magic Attack may help Captain’s Ghost deal damage and additional abilities may give Captain’s Ghost more value in certain situations. I enjoy this process of improving cards because this process gives me new goals to work toward in Splinterlands.
Another important thing about Captain’s Ghost is that Captain’s Ghost belongs to the Water Splinter. I enjoy using Water cards because Water cards give me options when building a team. Every Splinterlands battle requires some planning. I always try to choose cards that work well together. Captain’s Ghost may be useful alongside Water cards that provide support additional damage or defensive abilities. I want to experiment with combinations and see which combinations work best for my playing style. Sometimes a card that looks ordinary at first can become very useful when it is placed in the team.
I also noticed that the purchase screen mentioned that Captain’s Ghost is playable in Wild and Survival and that a Wild Pass may be required for Wild Ranked play. This is another detail that I will keep in mind when planning my battles. I want to make sure that I understand where I can use Captain’s Ghost and which battle formats are available to me. My goal is to make the most of my collection by using cards in battles rather than simply keeping them unused.
After purchasing Captain’s Ghost I feel that my collection has become a little more complete. I now have another Water card that I can consider when building teams with Magic Attack. I am especially interested in seeing how Captain’s Ghost performs in battles where the rules allow me to use Mana teams. I would like to test Captain’s Ghost against opponents and learn how to use Captain’s Ghost more effectively. I know that one card alone cannot guarantee a victory. A well‑planned team can make a big difference. That is why I want to focus on teamwork and strategy than relying on a single powerful card.
In conclusion purchasing Captain’s Ghost was another experience for me in Splinterlands. I spent 109.61 DEC to add this Rare Water card to my collection. I am happy, with my decision. I like Captain’s Ghost’s artwork, Captain’s Ghost’s Magic Attack and the possibility of upgrading Captain’s Ghost in the future. I hope that I will be able to use Captain’s Ghost in different battles and discover Captain’s Ghost’s full potential through my own experience. I also hope to collect copies of Captain’s Ghost and increase Captain’s Ghost’s level when I have the opportunity. Every new card gives me something to look forward to and Captain’s Ghost is now part of that journey. I am excited to continue playing Splinterlands improving my collection and enjoying the new experiences that this game brings me.
