Good evening Sereyians on this great platform, I am very excited to write and share with you all this wonderful article. It is a pleasure to write to you all about depression today including some of its causes and effects.

If you think you might be depressed, it's important to get help right away. Depression isn't just a bad mood that will pass with time, it's a serious condition that can have lasting effects if left untreated. With the proper treatment plan in place, however, you can make significant progress toward managing your symptoms and feeling better overall.
Depression is a serious mental health condition that can affect how you feel, think, and behave. It's more than just feeling sad.
If you have depression, it can be hard to enjoy things the way you used to. Depression makes it hard to concentrate or get things done. You may also have feelings of guilt or worthlessness, or lose interest in things you used to enjoy doing.
It's important to remember that depression is a treatable illness. With treatment, many people with depression get better and return to their normal selves.
Here are some common causes of depression:
1) Loss or change in your life - Losing someone close to you or moving away from someone you love can cause depression.
2) Genetics:- Depression may run in families, so if your parents suffered from it, there's a good chance that you will too.
3) Stress:- Having too much stress in your life can trigger depression because the body releases chemicals called hormones when we're stressed out. These hormones make us feel sad and hopeless.
4) Medical conditions:- Some illnesses such as heart disease and cancer are linked to depression because they cause physical changes in the body that make it more difficult for people to cope with stressful situations."
Depression is a condition that can affect anyone, but it's especially common in teens.
If you're feeling depressed, there are a few things you can do to help yourself feel better:
1. Try to keep your schedule as normal as possible. This may mean going to school or classes even when it seems like the last thing you want to do. It will help you keep your routine and structure in life, which is important for mental health.
2. Eat healthy foods and get plenty of sleep. Eating well will help boost your energy levels and improve your mood, while getting enough sleep will help prevent stress from worsening depression symptoms.
3. Try getting into some kind of physical activity or exercise every day even if it's just walking around outside! Exercise helps relieve stress and boosts mood by releasing endorphins into the brain, making you feel happier and more relaxed than before starting out on your daily walk or bike ride through town streets.
People with depression may be:
Sad and hopeless
Angry, irritable or aggressive
Lethargic, sleeping too much or too little
Losing interest in things they used to enjoy
