But, about blaming the whole species part, I respectfully disagree.

The human species as a collective doesn't exist, there are only individuals. I mean, sure, there are some individuals, whom we can blame, that take some very bad decisions and end up hurting themselves or others, but 99% of all unnatural deaths in history can all be tracked back to politicians and/or government. Democide is the biggest cause of death in history, by far. So I wouldn't blame that on all humanity, specially because most people are just doing the suffering and dying and not the killing. If we wanna blame the whole species for something, then, statistically speaking, we should blame ourselves for letting them alienate us, scare us, control us, for suffering and dying quietly and not fighting back.
