This beautiful old tree grows about 15 feet from my patio door. It's well over a hundred feet tall and keeps my dwelling cool even on very hot days. Not only does it keep me cool but it's also home to numerous creatures. To name a few of those tenents, squirrels and birds. The squirrels race each other up and town its trunk and play hide and seek in its branches, then disappear to rest in the tree's cradle. And so many birds! They build their nests and birth their babies. I think they toss the little ones out of their nests eventually because they come tumbling to the ground making upset little squawking sounds. They recover after a bit and start to look for food.
This is The Cradle
I'm often tempted to climb the old tree and make my own little nest in its cradle.
