Well, perhaps not rain, but this Lobelia does fall in a lovely cascade of little purple flower drops, doesn't it? But then also, is it purple? Purple is a mix of blue and red, and my Lobelia appears to be more violet, a colour with its own wavelength at the end of the visible light spectrum between blue and ultra-violet. So do I dare call it purple?
