It’s so good that a topic that my friends and I have always debated on is what Bro Eli Soriano spoke on today. Bro Eli mentioned about prayer, the way we pray and our motive.
For we Christians, whenever we are praying, we have to make sure that we kneel down. The right and most accepted way of praying to God is by kneeling down unto Him and asking or requesting for what we want. The only time we are not expected to kneel down is only when we are in a place where it isn’t possible for us to kneel down or we are in a tight corner.
Also, there is a condition if we are ever going to stand while praying which will be explained in the Bible scripture.
Mark 11:25 says, And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
That’s the only reason why our prayers can be answered if we stand.
Also, Bro Eli made us know that it is a very bad habit to pray just because you want people to know that you are praying. One of the best ways to pray is pray in secret and when God will respond to your prayers, he will do that in the open.
A lot of Chtistian stand just because they want people to know that they are praying.
Matthew 6:5 says, And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
I know you know that I am right about this. That is why some people pray and these are acts that God says no to. When we want to pray, we should do it just because we want to but not for people to see that we are being prayerful.
