I have seen people commit grevious and unpardonable sins and when you ask them why they do that, all they say is that they know God will forgive them and that’s why they keep doing it.
It’s very sad that some people are very much aware of the sins that they commit but they never want to stop because they know that God is merciful and he will always forgive them when they sin against him but we should never forget that there are some sins that are unpardonable.
According to the Bible, there are two kinda of sin. One is called sin unto death while the other is known as sin not unto death.
How do we know if God will forgive us for some sins we commit? God forgives us when we don’t know that the sin we are committing is a sin. So many times, we do things out of our knowledge. We sin unintentionally so many times which God is aware of so he won’t punish us for something we know nothing about.
Let’s take for an example when Apostle Peter asked Jesus how many times we can sin or forgive our brothers when they sin against us. Jesus said in Matthew 18:22 that; Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, until seven times; but, until seventy times seven.
That makes it four hundred and ninety times. Apparently, this does not give us the opportunity to sin against our brothers all the time. Well, this teaching does not encourage us to sin. This also does not mean that a may man sin repeatedly or throughout his entire life. This is just a way for us to realize how broad the forgiveness of God is. God forgives us a lot and if he does that, we should be able to forgive our fellow humans too.
God be with us and as Christians, we should learn to forgive our fellow Christians.
