There are still so many rules and regulations that is not part of the Ten Commandments. And in the Ten Commandments, there are some rules that are attached some commanments.
It is said that as Christians, it is part of our obligations to look into the welfare of our brethren.
Also, we need to understand that the word brethren here does not only have to do with Christians. A lot of people take this seriously that they never want to help or have anything to do with people who are not Christians but that’s not fair.
We should never judge people based on their religions. We are not God and only God has the right to judge those who are not practicing Christianity.
All we have to do is help people whom we can afford to help and never try to get anything in return of the favor that we do them because God never wants or take anything in return of the favor that He does for us.
I John 3:17 says; But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
If God blesses you, it means that He wants you to take care of other people. God blesses some people on behalf of other people.
If God gives you more than enough money, it means that you are expected to take care of other people who God didn’t or hasn’t blessed with so much money.
So yes, you are financially responsible for other people. This doesn’t mean that you should do beyond your power but the little one you can do or the little help you can render to people, do it and never expect anything in return.
