Entomological collections are always necessary for their study, but there are many people who do it because they want to collect them as if they were objects and I do not agree with the latter. Whenever I can I avoid having to kill the specimens, I use methods to immobilize and then release them, other times I find them dead and they have to be "fixed" for the photos. When they are very small and there are many it may be necessary to remove some for observations. Best regards and wishing you an excellent week.
