These organisms turn out to be a box of surprises. The fact that a female can reproduce without being fertilized by a male is something that other arthropods also share, being more specific, this can be seen in insects like bees and ants, a queen bee can lay eggs without having mated with a male, but from these unfertilized eggs only male offspring come out, being necessary to mate for the females to be born. Once the female is fertilized by the male, then she can decide the sex of her future generations, they do it according to the need of the moment, so if more males are needed than females or vice versa, she brings them to life, something incredible. With mites it is the same, but only some species can do it.

The spider web in mites is only produced by the so-called red spiders, which are crop pests. Certainly, all living things are important and have their function, but I would say that mites are designed to make life difficult for humans hahahaha.
