Greetings friend @adalger, yes, the vast majority of Coccinellidae are red, but there is a minority that have other predominant colors such as yellow or orange, the species shown in this publication is one of them, they have many variants in their color and black patterns on their elytra, for this reason is known as "variable ladybug".
