Check out that graph folks! 78% growth in one day in the middle of a Crypto winter. This is phenomenal stuff and is just a little taste of the potential of our common interest and project Hive. Days like this should be celebrated and although I was confident that we would get back to Hive to HBD parity and beyond in 2022, I thought that it might take a little longer.
Let's have a look at the Market Capitalisation also, another key metric - for anyone unsure of the meaning of Market Capitalisation, it is basically the product of Coin price and number of coins in circulation. Just multiply the two numbers and you’ll get a figure for Market Capitalisation. The first graph below shows Hive over it's lifetime and as you can see it peaked above one Billion dollars briefly last year.
Now, let's take a look at the one day graph for Market Capitalisation. What a joy to behold for us all, as the number has almost doubled. This is fantastic news and who knows where things will go from here.
That time again
As July appears in our rear view mirrors, it's the 1st of the month again! Another month has passed, and I've seen more gains across my hive and #Leo holdings, as well as other side chains like #SportsTalkSocial #VerfiyYourBrian #Proof of brain. I continue to post, interact and grow and for anyone new here, keep on reading.
For any newbies reading this post, the beauty of Hive is, you don't have to invest any hard earned Fiat, although I would advise that you do invest some FIAT, to accelerate your progress.
At times I wish that I had in those early days, as it has been a long journey for me, but my account has grown up from 100% organic growth from nothing other than around 10 or 15 delegated HP to get me going.
I've never taken out anything to date either, nor do I intend to any time soon. I want my stack to continue to grow and the bigger the stack, the quicker the growth in my opinion. I am actually seeing that first hand at the moment, and it's a fact that the more you grow, the quicker you grow.
Last PUD month comparison
Each month, that I do a HPUD, I like to take stock and have a look over my shoulder back into the rearview mirror to see where I've come from, so let's do that right now.
I was on 5651 hive power on July 1st. Today, I'm at 6,216 hive power one month later which is a gain of 10% which I'm feckin thrilled with! This is what I am trying to explain as best I can - now is a brilliant time to grow. Bear markets are a great time to grow if you are brave and you believe. That 10% was bolstered by me selling some of my HBD a little while back, as my aim was to see how many months in 2022 I could achieve 10% growth or more. Things will get harder as I continue to grow and I'll have to revise my growth plans a little bit.
My reputation also continues to grow as well and I am now up to 70.4 this month which again I'm delighted with, as the higher this gets the slower it grows, so to have grown it from 70.2 last month to 70.4 this month is fan-bloody-tastic and shows my continued progress here on Hive.
You are an early adopter
Yep, I'm back with this old chestnut again. You were waiting for it weren't you? Every month for Hive Power Up Day, I mention it.
Brace yourselves - here it comes again - remind yourself that you are an early adopter in a transformative potentially game changing industry. Blockchain is going to be huge. You are here before the masses. You are a visionary. It is only a matter of time before many more look to follow in your footsteps. Imagine investing in internet stocks in the early days, the likes of Google, Amazon or Facebook.
How many of your friends and family know what you are talking about when you mention Crypto, blockchain, leverage, dao, hive etc, I'm guessing not many, sure some might have heard of Cryptocurrency, but are they using it daily like we do here while building a holding?
Take advantage of your early adopter status. Up your game. Post only quality content. Engage with others on the eco system and watch as you flourish.
As time passes, you will start hearing more friends, families and randomers talking about Crypto currencies, asking questions about blockchain and taking their first tentative steps into the investment waters? I think more and more people will get involved in the coming years, especially the younger demographic who are already tech savvy and tuned into transformative digital technologies and integration.
Those of us with surplus time and surplus money have a real opportunity at the moment to turn that surplus into profit.
Power Up Day August 2022
I am proud to say that this is my fourteenth PUD. It's a good way of showcasing the importance of powering up and staking what you have in the Crypto space in order to put your earnings to work and compound with even more earnings.
Another bonus for me is that it gives me a timestamp that I can easily refer back to in order to track my growth here on the platform.
These were the criteria for Hive PUD:
• Your reputation must be above 39 and below 70.
I am now 70.4 so don't qualify for main prizes
• Your total Hive Power (before the 1st) must be more than 100 and less than 8000.
My total hive power before 1st was 5831 HP
• You must power up at least 10 Hive on December 1st.
I have just powered up 385 Hive bringing up to 6216 Hive Power overall
