John Peel is someone I have heard of alright, but never really listened to much radio back in those days, it was mostly CDs and nights out, I only got into radio when I started driving and these days I prefer podcasts and Spotify to radio, but there were some good shows by people like Dave Fanning, Paul McLoone and others. I must say though looking at John's list of 40 when he was 40 makes me think he really knew his music, I must resort to that list a few times for a few listens to classic albums.

Ya I hear you, asking friends to tape stuff for you was what was happening in my day or taping off the radio and praying for the DJ to shut up during the intro! I kind of miss that kind of innocence, life is nearly too easy now!! Magazine and Horace Andy nice additions too.

Love the Arty tribute with the photos too, very cool and nice to have and look back on and cool that your little man is big into music now too - the apple doesn't fall far from the tree..
