Yes, fair point about points required and to be honest the most points I can see us getting would be 90/114 which would be very high by Arsenal standards, so the only way to compete would be to hope that the other big clubs drop more points than in recent seasons, which is possible with Newcastle becoming more of a force and Spurs always capable of taking points of the bigger teams. Arsenal's season will hinge on our games against City, Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool - I feel that if we can perform well in those fixtures and take 12-14 points, then we have a great chance to challenge the top four.
