Splendor, Spectacle, Scenery!

I had no idea how they had transformed the stage into a village in Mantua, Italy! I was ENTHRALLED! And I had absolutely no idea what they were saying.

But it was like entering this world where we only needed to speak the language of music, and I was absolutely swept away. Into the heart and soul of it all! Now, I'm going to give you TWO selections from Opera today. DO NOT RUN AWAY.

Ohhhhhh, I'm suitably excited to listen to these now, nice build up around 12 year old you thinking that you hated opera, only to be mesmerised by it later in life..

Well you started of with a scene from one of my fav movies of all time, so certainly off to a good start! and the qoute on that video is perfect and so true - "Get busy living or get busy dying" That is a brilliantly simple statement.

Flower Duet from Leo Delibes' opera 'Lakme' is unreal and would surely blow anybody away, what an amazing performance. I think what can put people off is the really posh faces the pull while singing ha ha ha
