A good read as always, with plenty to comprehend. When it comes to things like this humans tend to use that age old trick of cognitive dissonance and treat the cute little calf and big lump of steak as completely separate and unrelated.
I eat plenty of meat and love it, but if I thought about the whole thing for too long, I could easily go down the Vegan pathway..
I think humans would not have evolved as much in terms of brain power without the meat and fish part of the diet though, so overall it's probably best we started eating meat, but people are so greedy these days and we definitely eat much more than we need and far too much processed foods in the West. Is it any wonder so many ailments and sicknesses are on the increase in Western society - Cancer, auto immune disorders, diabetes and heart disease to name a few.
