And the winner is...

20210606_120151[2289].jpg

First off, a massive thanks to the legend and TTT sponsor that is blanchy@blanchy who has doubled the Hive Basic Income prize fund for this contest - thanks man.

Welcome welcome Three Tune Tuesday readers and contributors, it is that time of the week when I give out the prize for the week, that being two shares SBI. Better than the share in SBI though is the Title of Three Tune Tuner of the week, a title that is worn with pride.

I usually post the winner on a Wednesday, but I also try to mainly only post once a day, so as not to be greedy and leave rewards for others, so I held off on this post until today.

Right, Ok, now for the benefit of new readers, every Tuesday I pick three songs, sometimes all three from the same artist, sometimes three tunes from a particular genre, other times three songs from a certain country - you get the idea. I've always asked others to get involved and over the past few weeks, that is exactly what's happened and we now have some ThreeTune regulars which is fantastic! The ask is to basically choose three songs to share. You can sing them or hum them or just pick three from an artist you love like I do, which is what most people do each week.

Here is a link to last week's post - at the end I said that I would pick someone who shared some decent tunes and give them a share in Hive basic income courtesy of me. Once again, we had some top class entries and new songs for our collective ears, which is class.

Here is this week's as well, sure I may as well give it a shameless plug!

@ablaze/3-leftfield-bangers-for-three-tune-tuesday-week-53

Huge thanks to this week's ThreeTuneTuesday devotees in no particular order por500bolos@por500bolos coquicoin@coquicoin tengolotodo@tengolotodo captainquack22@captainquack22 blanchy@blanchy sagesigma@sagesigma blackdaisyft@blackdaisyft mineopoly@mineopoly cmplxty@cmplxty deraaa@deraaa riverflows@riverflows hopestylist@hopestylist merit.ahama@merit.ahama and wwwiebe@wwwiebe for taking time to share their tunes with our community here on Hive.

Ding Ding Ding. That's another new record people. 16 TTTers this week! Boom!

So, what's up for grabs?

Hive Basic Income.

Hive Basic what now?

Let me explain.....

Hive Basic Income

Again for the benefit of new readers, are you new to Hive? Are you struggling to get support on those first posts of yours? Have you come back to Hive recently and are struggling in a similar fashion? If so, I would advise you to keep an eye out for competitions that offer you Hive Basic Income shares. These give you guaranteed upvotes from steembasicincome@steembasicincome, sbi1@sbi1, sbi2@sbi2, sbi3@sbi3, sbi4@sbi4, sbi5@sbi5, sbi6@sbi6, sbi7@sbi7, sbi8@sbi8, sbi9@sbi9 etc and the more shares that you have the higher their upvotes. Simples...

image.png

It is a win win situation too for the person sharing the shares, as the person sharing them also gets a share of HBI for each one they share with someone else - what's not to like about this model. You get rewarded for being kind to someone else, in fact it is like a microcosm of what the Hive blockchain actually is from a curation perspective too.

The Tunes

As I said above, we're tipping the scales (see what I done there) with approx 50 tunes this week, which is class. Right so, speaking of tunes, let's get down to it.

blanchy@blanchy brings us three classics from none other than Fleetwood Mac. Everybody I assume loves the gorgeous voice of Stevie Nicks, if you don't I can put you in touch with a fantastic ear surgeon from Outer Mongolia who will gladly assist with a transplant!

For the first time in a while I have heard of the three bands that sagesigma@sagesigma shares this week, and all are proper good bands too, with These New Puritans, The Verve and The Walkmen making up the trio of Tuntastic tuneable tuneens.

blackdaisyft@blackdaisyft was rocking out at a sweet music festival in Portugal this week, and was also rocking a nice new frock, some very tasty looking tuna (barriga de atum) which I will be trying the next time I am in Portugal and finally rocking out to Hey! Douglas until the early hours!

mineopoly@mineopoly brings us the Blues and man was I loving these tunes. A regular at the Chicago Blues Fest Vibes in Grant Park in the younger days, and brings us three tunes from Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy and BB King and even a bonus Tuesday song too

cmplxty@cmplxty is back to some of his favorite Electronic beats this week, and inspired me to do some Electronic tunes myself for next week. Water Mouth from Opuio really drops nicely at 1:46 and gets going.

deraaa@deraaa is all about hip hop and rap this week, but it is hip hop and rap with a difference, with zero cursing. Ever wonder what Eminem might sound like if he could not curse at all, well check out her post and a guy called NF to find out.

riverflows@riverflows drops three completely new songs and acts for me and I must say I really liked them. She desribes them herself as "World Electronic Dub Reggae Fusion Lovelineess" and yep that covers it alright, fusion being the operative word. Go and check these out folks if you have an inquisitive musical taste, as theses are pure class.

hopestylist@hopestylist joins us for the first time, so a big TTT welcome to you my friend and thanks for joining us and sharing your three tunes, two from Alan Walker and one from Imagine Dragons, which is a TTT favorite that has appeared a good few times now.

merit.ahama@merit.ahama also joins us for the first time, so another big TTT welcome to you my friend and thanks for joining us and sharing your three tunes, which all fall in to the Pop genre, a genre I would not be that familiar with as rarely listen to the songs that top the charts, so thanks for sharing these ones with us.

wwwiebe@wwwiebe is bringing us his own playing of famous pieces of music. He tells us "I played two of these songs live during my own live broadcast of Three Tune Tuesday (the other song I played live today was The Vamp, which I shared on last week's TTT post)" That my friend is amazing, our very own Three Tune Tuesday concert - absolutely amazing! I am off on holidays soon, but will try to tune in soon, maybe not while on holidays though!

Ever wondered what the difference is between a fiddle and violen? Do you want to hear some gorgeous examples of both? What are you waiting for? Click on over to por500bolos@por500bolos and have a read of his TTT post all about it. Michael Cleveland and the only lick he knows alone is worth the visit or scroll.

coquicoin@coquicoin is quickly getting a reputation for sharing top notch tunes, at least to my ears and this week is no exception, and I absolutely loved Bebo Vald茅s & Diego El Cigala. I haven't a fiddlers what they were singing about, but my ears were pleading for more when the 5 minutes 30 seconds sadly elapsed

tengolotodo@tengolotodo hits us up with three classic Reggae songs this week, ya mon...... Who doesn't love a bit of Reggae. Again for those that don't, I have my man in Outer Mongolia who can fix you up with a new set of lugs for a very reasonable price. I'll share the Bob Marley song, as it was the first song that I learned on the guitar.

captainquack22@captainquack22 - Quaked by name and quacked by nature! The man himself goes with the country vibes this week, a genre that is huge in America, but not so much in Ireland, at least with blanchy@blanchy and the lads I hang around with. I gave these a listen though and I must say Jon Pardi is talented, no doubt, good share man.

Right, grab your headphones - Here is a flavour of this week's tunes.

Hey! Douglas - E艧k谋ya from blackdaisyft@blackdaisyft

The Verve - Already There sagesigma@sagesigma

Fleetwood Mac - The Chain from blanchy@blanchy

Mick Flannery (and John Spillane) - Passage West from ablaze@ablaze

Jon Pardi - Heartache On The Dance Floor from captainquack22@captainquack22

Bob Marley - Redemption Song from tengolotodo@tengolotodo

Bebo Vald茅s & Diego El Cigala.- L谩grimas Negras from coquicoin@coquicoin

Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper "Lee Highway Blues" from por500bolos@por500bolos

NF - CLOUDS from deraaa@deraaa

Opiuo - Water Mouth from cmplxty@cmplxty

Maroon 5What Lovers do from merit.ahama@merit.ahama

Alan Walker - The Spectre from hopestylist@hopestylist

Acid Arab - Laba Staifia from riverflows@riverflows

All the Quakers are Shoulder Shakers from wwwiebe@wwwiebe

"Sweet Home Chicago" (Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter, Robert Cray, Hubert Sumlin...) from mineopoly@mineopoly

Honurable mentions this week to coquicoin@coquicoin riverflows@riverflows and por500bolos@por500bolos, but we can only have one winner and this week it is all about the Blues and mineopoly@mineopoly takes the prize and is the Three Tune Tuner of the week and recipient of 2 shares of SBI. Thanks again to blanchy@blanchy for sponsoring the tunes and matching my 1 share of SBI.

I'll leave you with this Tuesday tune courtesy of mineopoly@mineopoly
