Frosty Reception
The cold snap has finally passed here in Ireland, for now at least. It was nice to see the trees covered in frost as it gave everything that Christmassy look. That was really nice, as it's been a while since we've had a white Christmas.
To be honest though, the roads have been quite dodgy and we live up a country road and the roads can be particularly treacherous, so the thaw had been welcome and today's lows of 5 degrees and highs of 13 degrees means that the frost is gone for now at least.
Here are a few photos that I captured over the week, a couple of which I might frame. I love photos of sunsets and sunrises as ye know, but there is something even more special about them on a frosty day.
Frost Art
We have nine sky light windows in our house, and as I made my way up to my home office last week, I was stopped in my tracks by the sight that presented itself.
This was art plain and simple. Unique and impressive and fully automated by nature. You could refreeze over night another thirty million times and every single time, we'd have a different outcomenon each window.
Have a look yourself and let me know what you guys think.
The photos used throughout this post are all my own taken on my Samsung smart phone
