It's just after midday here in Ireland so it's definitely too early to start drinking. But it's not too early for a post about drinking because I just happened to have about 20 minutes spare time now that I'm going to spend writimg a quick beer Saturday Post.
To be fair there is not always this much choice in the bottom of my fridge. We are lucky enough to have two fridges, a happy accident I guess you could call it. When we bought our new home around two and a half years ago it came with an integrated fridge. We were moving from another house that we were selling and I already had a double fridge freezer there which we didn't sell with the house, we kept it.
The original plan was to take out the existing fridge and put in our integrated double fridge freezer. To date that hasn't happened so we now have two fridges which is pretty handy I must say especially when we have parties and lots of people bring beers and wine and what not.
That's partly the reason why the bottom of our fridge is still full of various drinks, we had a party a couple of weeks ago for our neighbors. We stocked up on Guinness and wine and some neighbours brought things such as the Stella Artois beer that you see in the picture above.
So the question is what will I have this evening? I could abstain like I often do on Saturday nights because of my early morning golf on Sunday. However the course was closed last Sunday due to heavy rain and I've a funny feeling the same thing could happen again tomorrow morning so I may well have a couple with the Ireland versus Netherlands match this evening altogether.
We are well in truly out of the euro qualification group and languishing in fourth place out of 5 teams which is extremely disappointed but I'll still watch the boys in green as I love my soccer and I love my national team.
In the right drawer of Bulmers left over from the summertime, I've Stella Artois, I've BrewDog IPA and I've Sierra Nevada IPA. Some very good choices there.
In the right drawer I have my much loved Guinness which I can pour very well in the pint glass at home and it comes out pretty similar to the draught you'll get down in the pub.
We'll see later on what I opt for...
