Split Bamboo (=plah trieng, in Acehnese or belah bambu, in Indonesian)
Bamboo has many benefits. for the people of Aceh bamboo can be used for home purposes, such as making fences, roof frames, roof bones and more.
How to splitting bamboo.
-prepare bamboo, machetes / knives, pestle.
-point the blade of a machete or knife at the base of bamboo. hit the machete with a pestle.
-splitting bamboo haru starting from base to tip. if we split it from the end to the base, then I am sure we will have difficulty.
