Folks...I have discussed this before and I would repeat again....what I feel would be the future of steemit.... Now I hope everyone remembers a site called Orkut....at one time it was the darling of all social media enthusiats untill came Facebook. Now Orkut was founded in 2004 ..for the first few years it really did well. People were new to the platform...they liked the new idea but had nothing to compare it to....
Come 2010...it was revealed that the traffic had got distributed between Orkut an Facebook...fast fwd four years, and Orkut was shut down.....reasons?????
Now Orkut was under the Google banner..and those were the times when Google was investing more on its new business machine....the YouTube. Meanwhile zuckerburg was going hammer and tongs with his idea driven website. The rest is history.
What I am pointing at is the fact that sooner or later, as blockchain based social network sites pickup...more and more sites would be on offer. Hence for our platform to dominate what it has initiated, it would require to keep updating the platform.for starters the site needs to embrace more media based applications and interactive interfaces. I am sure that the developers are on it... But just a thought....cheers
