It does seem HIVE, in $ value, has turned the corner or at least bottomed out.

The amount on the exchanges is a good indicator of what perhaps needs to change. When you can stake for 4/5/6/more % elsewhere and un-stake instantly, the incentive to do that with HIVE and the 13 week powerdown just isn't large enough.

I believe there was a code change to give newly staked HP less influence for the first month, so perhaps we'll see a one month powerdown in the future, and more vested HIVE.
