Let’s Crochet A Beach Set For A Client

Hello everyone, I am so excited about this particular project because I did it in 10 hours. Yes! 10hours.
The client had an emergency vacation invite and she asked if I could do it as soon as possible. She apologized for not ordering on time and after telling me when she was traveling I told her no because the time was too short for me.After several considerations, I just accepted to do it because I realized she was a size small which would be easy for me.I informed her I was going to try and finish it but she shouldn’t raise her hopes. She told me to have all the time I need which was a little funny coming from someone traveling in the next 24 hours. She wanted yellow,so I got yellow yarns and got right to work.
The materials I used were:

• Yellow Yarns
• a pair of scissors
• measuring tape
• 1.60mm hook

Procedure

I started with the bralette which I used about 3 hours to work on. I made the base of the bralette by making 13 chains and at the end of the chains I started making double crochets backwards. I then made two double crochets in the same stitch, chained one and made another two double crochets in the same stitch and continued double crocheting till the end. I repeated the same till the bra cups became the client’s size.

I now attached yarn to make the straps.I chained from the top of the bra cups and then made another long chain to hold the bra cups together. She wanted a simple but classy bralette so I made it a bit different from the normal bralette designs.

I then moved on to the skirt starting with the waist.I made 7 chains as the base and the built it with double crochets till it was 26inches long(her waist size).

I just continued making the the body of skirt with double crocehets.She wanted a slit in front of the skirt so after about 10inches, I started with making the slit. For the slit,I marked where I wanted it to be and then when I got to that stitch, I crocheted backwards to the other end.I repeated this process till about 4 inches. Then I added some floral design to the ends of the skirt by making 5 double crochets in a stitch,slip stitching in the next two stitches and making another 5 double crochets in the next two stitches.I repeated it till I was done with the design.

The result.

I really enjoyed making this. It felt like a challenge for me and I’m really glad I was able to do this. My client was really surprised I could actually finish on time and even gave me tips for that.She also promised to send me pictures and I can’t wait to see her in my work.
