Taking advantage of my daughter's medieval garb that afternoon, we took a leap onto the grounds of our community church. I had long had in mind to take advantage of that imposing religious architecture to contrast it with the image of my daughter at sunset. The dress is due to the occasion of her 15th birthday, and that date is significant for teenagers in Latin American culture. Traditions have changed a bit, and so have tastes and budgets, but my daughter decided to keep some of those customs and that afternoon we went out in that almost medieval dress, inspired by the Disney-Pixar film Brave. I loved the idea, because of the natural waves in my daughter's hair, I knew it would look great with the sunlight and the wind that afternoon. The tall grass was perfect and there was enviable natural lighting. Everything went perfectly, and here are some of the results.
Aprovechando las vestiduras medievales de mi hija aquella tarde, nos dimos un salto a los predios de la iglesia de nuestra comunidad. Tenía en mente desde hacía mucho tiempo aprovechar esa imponente arquitectura religiosa para contraponerla a la imagen de mi hija al atardecer. El vestido es debido a la ocasión de su cumpleaños número 15, y esa fecha es significativa para los adolescentes en la cultura latinoamericana. Las tradiciones han variado un poco, los gustos y los presupuestos también, pero mi hija decidió quedarse con algo de esas costumbres y aquella tarde salimos con ese vestido casi medieval, inspirado en el filme Brave, de Disney-Pixar. A mi me encantó la idea, por las ondas naturales en el pelo de mi hija, sabía que se iban a ver muy bien con la luz del sol y el viento de esa tarde. La yerba alta estaba perfecta y había una iluminación natural envidiable. Todo salió a pedir de boca, y aquí les muestro algunos resultados.
