The story of a childless RICH KING
With no child to this king, he was worried about the numerous invested he had both locally an internationally.
He went further to seek for advice from one of his advisers.
The following working day after his decision, he held a meeting with his staffs and told them of his intention to retire and also to appoint a heir to his inheritance in a month's time.
He told them that for any business to strive, it must be watered consistently and given the best care.
He gave each of his employees 2 seeds of corn each and gave them instructions on what to do.
He told them that the corn seeds are high breed and would start germinating in 2 to 3 days from the day of planting if tender care and love is given to it.
He went further and gave them a rule and a writing pad each with instructions that the growth should be measured daily for 3 weeks and the employee that has the tallest corn will be his heir.
As he was about leaving the meeting room, he turned and said to them "do not discuss with each other about the progress of your assignment"
3 days later, each of them observed that their corn was not germinating. The next thought that came to mind was to get a corn from the store.
7 days later, each of them started recording the growth of their corn for 3 weeks.
After 3 weeks, the king asked all of them to bring their project. On getting into the conference Hall, the king saw that all the corn had germinated, looking so green with some tall and some short.
While he was doing a procession with some of his cabinents, he discovered that of all the 70 projects, one was empty.
He asked them each to share their experiences and also the outcome of the project.
The last person he called forth came up and said......." My king, I am sorry my corn did not germinate, I am pretty sure it was because I forgot to water it in the evening of the 10th day.
THE KING'S SPEECH
For any man to be successful, he must be truthful and sincere about what he does. The world today is filled with liers and insincere people both in the business world, our family world and in the world of politics.
He then went further and said, I want to express my sincere and unreserved DISAPPOINTMENT in all of you with the exception of Mr Jide.
I hereby appoint Mr Jide as the heir to my inheritance because he possess the qualities and charactaistics of a leader.
He then told them that the reason why Mr Jide won the contest was because his corn didn't germinate.
How can that be? Mr Jide's corn didn't germinate.........that was the argument amongst the employee.
The king the said, the corn couldn't have germinated because they were heated in the oven for several hours.
My question to you is .......... . ......
Can the unpopped corn in a pop corn bag germinate when planted?????????????????!??
