Here I come with a local dish that has been popular throughout Acehnesse people. Yep, we call Kanji Rumbi, a kind of porridge that is mixed with herbalic ingredients such as such as cardamon, clove, cinamon, pepper and other traditional spices

The Kanji is made of the rice as the main material, in other regions the Kanji Rumbi similar with chicken porridge. However, in Aceh, Kanji is known as local dish that is frequenly available during the fasting month.

But Kanji Rumbi that I am talking about is herbal porridge which is served everyday in a local restaurant in Lampoh Saka, Pidie. Soon, I arrived at this spot, I was welcome with the smell of traditional spices that directly invited me to have some tastes.

Kanji is also regarded as traditional dish so there are many people who love to have it served daily. Some said, Kanji is good for health because it contains a lot of herbs.
