The Words of Victory
The same voices speak in our lives daily. They keep telling us “you will never make it: why are you wasting your time: stop trying” and all sorts of negative words.
The biggest kinds of fears we face are criticism and despisement. They are always challenging us and sometimes they tend to keep us in stagnation. We always have this bad feeling of not getting what we really want or that we may receive NO for an answer. If we continue allowing them they make strike us dead. Or better still block our destiny. They fill up our minds with self-doubt.
It takes courage to be led by the spirit of God neither is it easy to step out of the boundaries established by others for you. If you try such, firstly, you will face criticism.
I remember quite well a story of a farmer and his son who owned a mule and because of the way things were going he decided to sell the mule in town. As they were heading down town on foot, a woman them and shouted “hey farmer why are you trekking when you have mule to ride on?” they considered the words of the woman and decided to ride on the mule. As they went further, another woman shouted at them “do you want to kill the mule, look your weight and that of your son is too much on the mule, he’ll be exhausted and could even collapse.” The old man got down and the son rode alone on the mule. Heading a little further another man shouted, “Lo! Little boy how dare you allow your father walk why you ride alone on the mule? You should be ashamed of your insolent self.” The boy got down while the father then rode alone. Sooner than later another suggested, “Poor mule! He may drop dead why don’t you guys carry it on your head?” They actually stopped and did as told. As they headed to cross the bridge the lost the footing and the mule fell into the river and drowned.
You know what happens when you try to please everyone? You lose in all. Remember there are two kinds of people who fail: those whose ears incline to everybody and those whose ears are incline to nobody. You have to understand that it is not okay to allow people’s opinion control you or your decisions, too wrong! You could miss the way to your destiny if you let people’s opinions lead you to disobey God. Having the most expensive car doesn’t get you to your destination but your ability to move the wheels controlled by the gears and applying the brakes can get you there. You may let others drive you around, that’s okay: but one thing it does to you is to make you subject to their direction. You’ve got to take up the steering of your life, enough of allowing people wheel you around. Move straight to where god has kept for you. Fear shouldn’t make you die before your time!

Consider the lions, when they become very old and unable to hunt, all they do is roar. They don’t just roar for the sake of roaring. It works out this way: the younger lions hide somewhere, while the older lions that can barely walk do the roar. On hearing the sound, the prey is terrified and runs to the direction where they younger lions capture it. That is how fear walks. It may lead you to destruction.

ARISE today, run towards the roar! (FEAR). Confront it, challenge it and you’ll discover that they are just empty vacuums appearing filled. You could do it.
