Feminism could be one of the reasons for high divorce rates.
In a traditional country like India, for long marriage was considered to be the only relation to suffice the needs of a man and woman. In the past women were cultured to stay at home and take care of the family. Man was the sole bread earner and gained respect for earning money. However, since women started working and with women empowerment gaining momentum , the trends have changed and women are at par with men now.
Man since he has been cultured to work and earn is normally not used to do household chores, which is demanded by their partners nowadays, since they work as well. Moreover there is less employment for men, with women taking over jobs as well.
To find a stable job is becoming increasingly difficult for men, and this starts the disturbance in a marriage. Financial issues cause the highest number of divorces and without proper earning you will always find men stressed out to do multiple jobs.
Moreover the stress effects them physically and they are hardly able to spend time with their loved ones. Stress also results in men not being able to satisfy the needs of women, which makes women satisfy their needs with other men.
Betrayal , trust and emotional sentiments are hurt when the truth is revealed and this this results in both parties going separate ways.
In order to lead a successfully marriage life, we have to be content with what we have. Find partners that understand us and spend time with our loved ones, as money is not everything.
Betrayal, ego, feminism, jealousy , incompatability all add up together for partners to get divorced and part ways
