This is kinda big update for us! ๐ ๐งช
Our brand new content renderer has been built from the ground up with scalability in mind.
Our newly designed image grid aims to enhance the user experience by presenting buzzes in a visually appealing and organized manner through a clean grid format.
There's also a new image slider that now allows sliding through images both forwards and backwards.
This means that individual image sizes will be based on their dimensions and ratios, resulting in a much cleaner user interface.
Now, Twitter embeds will not be scrollable. Instead, each embed will have a dynamic height.
Subscribe button is now renamed to "Subscribe to DBuzz"
removed title section from the dapp
We've removed the title bar; the title will now be automatically extracted from the actual buzz content. This way, we ensure that the DBuzz user experience is minimalist and simple.
title and body will now be posted separately in their own variable so they will be rendered correctly on other frontends, and the will be rendered as one post on our app
This means that on other long-form frontends, the title and body will be displayed perfectly. The title will end with "..." and the body will start with "...", making it look much cleaner on those frontends.
Additionally, the title and body will be shown as merged content on DBuzz.
This means in a single buzz, you can include either one video or audio embed, or up to four images. If you try to add more than one embed, our app will ignore the extras. Similarly, if you post more than four images from another app, our app will display them in an image grid.
We've added support for YouTube Shorts, allowing you to share and enjoy short, entertaining videos from YouTube within DBuzz.
We've made significant improvements to our image uploading capabilities, now allowing you to upload iPhone-specific (.HEIC) images for your profile/cover photos and buzzes without any issues. The app will automatically handle the conversion of these images to the universally compatible PNG format, ensuring that your photos display correctly across various platforms. Moreover, we've enhanced our image compression functionality, which optimizes the file size of your images without sacrificing their visual quality. This means that your images will load faster and consume less storage space, providing a better overall user experience.
Firstly, we have fixed a bug that was causing the page to freeze when users tried to edit their profiles. With this fix, you will now be able to easily update your profile without any issues.
Additionally, we have addressed an issue where images on the feed were jerking, making it difficult to view them smoothly. This issue has been due for so long and is now resolved, and you should now be able to browse through images on the feed with ease.
Lastly, we have resolved an issue with uploading .HIEC (iPhone) images for your profile or cover photo, which was previously causing the page to freeze.
We hope that these enhancements improve your experience on DBuzz, and we appreciate your support.
The above updates will pushed to Mainnet after being tested properly on our Testnet.
