I still remember when my niece Sofia had the opportunity to discover new things and places. Of course, I didn't accompany her in all those moments. But at least my family photos help me to remember some of those moments when I was there.
I think it's great for babies to have contact with the natural world, to see flowers, to be taught that they are delicate things, to sit in the grass and itch! Let them feel the radiant sunlight on their faces and play. Today (and more so during the pandemic) many children spent endless hours indoors. It seemed like going outside would be a blessing.
Moments like these make me appreciate the present and continue to seek to share the basics of life with the people we love. I took these pictures at a time when my whole family was sharing something special, and Sofia had her time in which she monopolized our attention and we spent some time with her. And she took the opportunity to laugh, meet and share.
I hope to continue having more moments like these.

Aún recuerdo cuando mi sobrina Sofia tenía oportunidad de descubrir nuevas cosas y lugares. Por supuesto, no la acompañé en todos esos momentos. Pero al menos mis fotos familiares me ayudan a recordar algunos de esos momentos en los que sí estuve.
Me parece genial que los bebés tengan contacto con el mundo natural, ver las flores, enseñarlos a que son cosas delicadas, que se sienten en la grama ¡y les pique! Que sientan la luz del radiante sol en sus rostros y puedan jugar. Hoy en día (y más durante la pandemia) muchos niños pasaron infinitas horas dentro de casa. Parecía que salir a la calle sería una bendición.
Momentos como estos me hacen valorar el presente y seguir buscando compartir de las cosas básicas de la vida junto a las personas que queremos. Éstas fotografías las hice en un momento en el que mi familia completa compartíamos algo especial, y Sofia tuvo su rato en el que acaparó nuestra atención y le dedicamos un ratico. Y ella aprovechó de reír, conocer y compartir.
Espero seguir teniendo más momentos como estos.
