I have visited the Monumental Stadium in Maturin, Venezuela, on several occasions. It is always a pleasure to stop there from different perspectives. I have not yet seen it from all possible angles, but I am satisfied with the photos I have been able to take, even when I do not have my main camera at hand and must use my phone which does not have the best camera.
Here are a few that I was able to capture recently. It was late afternoon and it was starting to get dark. As a result, the light was beginning to take on a reddish hue that painted the front stand. While we were talking about some important technical aspects, I decided to take some pictures in the panoramic mode that my cell phone camera has.
I was pleasantly surprised by the result, although I could obviously improve the framing and composition. I can distinguish the green color of the natural grass, which that day was showing off the good care it has been receiving recently. The wonderful acoustics provided by wide places like these are a delight, at least for me. No echoes and you can listen in a simple and pure way. All sounds are absorbed by the synthetic and natural grass, cut by the rows of blue chairs and blurred by the infinite emptiness above us.
Who said that to enjoy these places you have to be full of people? Well, you can enjoy them too, but in a different way.

He visitado el Estadio Monumental de Maturín, Venezuela, en varias ocasiones. Siempre es un gusto detenerse en él desde diferentes perspectivas. Aún no lo he visto de todos los ángulos posibles, pero estoy satisfecho con las fotos que he podido tomar, incluso cuando no tengo mi cámara principal a mano y debo usar mi teléfono que no tiene la mejor cámara.
Aquí les presento unas pocas que pude capturar recientemente. Estaba terminando la tarde y empezaba a anochecer. Por eso, la luz empezaba a adquirir un tono rojizo que pintaba la grada del frente. Mientras conversábamos algunos aspectos técnicos importantes, decidí tomar algunas fotos en el modo panorámico que tiene la cámara de mi móvil.
Quedé gratamente sorprendido por el resultado, aunque obviamente pude mejorar el encuadre y composición. Puedo distinguir el color verde de la grama natural que ese día hacía gala de los buenos cuidados que está recibiendo recientemente. La acústica maravillosa que aporta los lugares amplios como estos es un deleite, al menos para mí. Nada de ecos y puedes escuchar de forma sencilla y pura. Todos los sonidos son absorbidos por la grama sintética y natural, cortada por las filas de sillas azules y difuminada por el infinito vacío que tenemos encima.
¿Quién dijo que para disfrutar éstos lugares debe estar lleno de gente? Bueno, esos también se disfrutan, pero de forma diferente.
