The following is my attempt to compare the price graph of Blurt and Hive and make a reasonable prediction based on my own overlay of the two graphs. This is NOT personal or financial advice.
First of all, I believe the price of Blurt could easily overtake Hive. Blurt is stair-stepping upwards {although the latest dip was a bit deep}. Hive is slowly trailing downward in price. Therefore, Blurt could surpass Hive. When you look at the graph overlay {of blurt and hive} it's easy to imagine Blurt overtaking Hive in price. However, Blurt could dip OR Hive could valuate.
It could be a matter of how much progress each blockchain makes. Hive has much more dapps and developers than Blurt. But that could simply be because Hive is older.
According to the graph: Blurt is more popular. But that could be because it is still much cheaper than Hive. There are lots of factors here. According to my calculations Blurt is still cheaper than Hive ever has been. So is this graph overlay even an accurate way to predict this situation?
Worst case scenario
Let's talk worst case scenario so this post isn't too biased. The latest dump is a bit strong to think it can't possibly dip down; instead of continuing to stair step upwards. The two big spikes could simply be early hopefuls and the latest dump could be people who intented to sell, but waited for a better price.
For those of you that don't know, Blurt wallets were a screenshot of X time on steem engine. So some people started with a LOT of Blurt. There is a lot of dump-able liquid Blurt out there. So I suppose it's a matter of how many people stake and how many people dump and exit.
