                                Ode to the Monkey

                                A Sonnet
                            by a-poetry-fanatic

My wild monkey, you inspire me to write.
How I hate the way you hoot, skip and bounce,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the solid younce.

Let me compare you to a riled cherry?
You are more creepy, impatient and pale.
Snow chills the berries of January,
And wintertime has the empty soleil.

How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your black attitude, hands and toe.
Thinking of your evil hands fills my days.
My hate for you is the medieval mo.

Now I must away with a sheepy heart,
Remember my short words whilst we're apart.
