Hello everyone
recently I became curious to learn which crypto exchanges have servers closest to my location, and I find some interesting info.
Firstly I'm situated in Europe (the Balkan region) and I have a decent internet connection (optical 40/40Mbit upstream/downstream).
I discovered that few of the markets that I was interested in, like Liqui, Hitbtc and Bittrex are all using CloudFlare for caching. What was really strange for me is the fact that I realised that I'm making connection to servers in USA for all of these exchanges, despite the fact that CloudFlare has server all over the world.
I was really expectoin to connect to the closes servers from my location, probably in Sofia (Bulgaria), or Belgrade (Serbia). You can check the full list of available server here: https://www.cloudflarestatus.com
And as an example here's where I connect to the Bittrex market:
Can someone please help me understand why I'm connection to the other side of the world when there should be cloudFlare servers very close to my location. Btw I didn't mention, all the before mentioned exchanges connect to server located in the US, some connect to the east coast, some the west, but none connect to servers in Europe.
