AOC has announced the G1 Series of gaming monitors. The G1 range includes three new curved models - C24G1, C27G1 and C32G1.
The three new monitors all sport the distinctive red-accented design you'd expect from AOC gaming displays.
Furthermore, their aggressive curvatures (1500R and 1800R) assures an excellent, immersive gaming experience.
AOC G1 gaming monitors
The new series is equipped with VA panels and supports Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. These are aimed at competitive gamers and so deliver high contrast images with deep blacks and vivid colours.
Their 3-sided borderless design will help those using multiple monitors.
Perhaps most importantly is that they boast a 144 Hz refresh rate, 1 ms MPRT (Moving Picture Response Time), as well as wide viewing angles.
Also, AMD FreeSync support is on-board to hand you stutter and tear-free gaming and Low Input Lag for compatible GPUs.
Finally, AOC Game Colour for on-the-fly adjustment of saturation and picture detail as well as the brand new “Dial Point” for a crosshair overlay. First Person Shooter fans will love those.
Ergonomics
The 24- and 27-inch monitors also come equipped with an ergonomic stand. This possesses a 130 mm height adjustment and -35°/+35° swivel range. This is plenty enough scope for you to achieve your optimum viewing position. Thanks to the curvature with a very small radius of 1500R (for C24) or 1800R total immersion will also be a cinch.
With rich connectivity including 2 x HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA for legacy display sources and headphones output, the G1 Series covers all grounds.
The new monitors also allow for long hours of playing games; AOC’s Low Blue Mode reduces harmful blue wavelength, while AOC’s Flicker-Free technology adjusts the backlight with DC (Direct Current) instead of PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) for a more comfortable use.
Price and availability
The 23.6-inch curved C24 and the 27-inch curved C27 are going to be available in July 2018 with an MSRP of £179 and £219, respectively.
The larger curved 32-inch C32 is expected to be available in August 2018 with an MSRP of £259.
