Here's the latest installment of my current dark scifi project. This is chapter 28. If you're just tuning in, consider starting with chapters 1 and 2. Be advised that this work considers difficult subjects, including suicide. If you're in crisis, please seek help. Help is available here.

Tiku from planet Tikatoo

Greg Shabar sat in front of the crowded hotel conference room in a mystical trance. In this trance, Greg became Tiku from planet Tikatoo. Closing his eyes and using a funny voice, Tiku spoke on the nature of consciousness and fielded questions from the audience. Although critics considered Greg to be a charlatan, everything Tiku had said over the course of many years was clear and consistent, leading many to conclude that an extradimensional entity named Tiku was actually speaking through Greg during these performances.

"So I've been doing all of the exercises from your videos, but I'm still having a hard time with something," said a man in a green shirt. "It's my family. It's like they can't even see me. And they keep doing things that mess up what I've got going on. I know they care about me, but how can they really when they keep proving that they don't even know who I am?"

"It is possible to love the ocean without knowing anything about what lies beneath its surface," said Tiku. "But here we would like to return to an earlier idea. This is the idea of infinite realities. There are infinite realities, and your consciousness is choosing which ones to inhabit. So you are choosing the version of reality where you experience a gap between yourself and your family. You understand?"

"Sort of, but how do I choose something better?" asked Green Shirt.

"Consider this idea," said Tiku. "As humans on Earth, you all have different capacities for understanding different things. Capacities are limited in each person, which is different from their potentials, which are infinite. If the people you are interacting with have limited capacity to understand something, even something as personal as you, it simply means that they haven't developed this capacity. You would not expect a child to have the capacity for understanding advanced subjects. Perhaps you are such an advanced subject to these members of your family."

"I have a question," said a woman with lightening bolt earrings, accepting the microphone that was being passed around. "You've been mostly silent on 321 and what it means on a spiritual level. What could you say about that?"

"The time is not yet appropriate for a detailed transmission on this event," said Tiku. "But remember, every major event was designed by your souls to facilitate and accelerate the growth and evolution of your species on some level. And this event has opened many people to new potentials that they weren't previously aware of."

"You've talked about soul groups before," said a man with a neck tattoo. "What more can you tell us about those?"

"If the family is the basic unit of society on Earth, the soul group is the basic unit of society at the level of consciousness," said Tiku. "In some cases, the family and the soul group are identical, in other cases, the groupings are quite different. Consider the soul group as a theater troupe that works out its act outside of time, then acts out its play in time, for its worldly audience. But remember, in this case the performers and the audience are often the same people. Anything you act out on behalf of your soul group is first being acted out for you yourself."

"Okay, but how do I find my soul group?" asked Neck Tattoo. "I've always felt completely alone in the world."

"You are all alone in the world," said Tiku. "Some more than others, for various reasons. That's part of the human experience. Separation. But connection, always reconnection, is also a part of this experience. To find other members of your soul group, pay attention to moments when you feel connected. See if you can pay as much attention to these moments as you pay to your feelings of separation."

"I want to know more about manifesting," said a woman with flashy glasses. "No matter what I do to try to manifest something better, I still feel stuck in my same old life."

"Ahh, but a life is never old," said Tiku. "It is always new. Each and every moment, you are creating a new life. A new world. A new universe. And you do this by choosing your reality from a field of infinite possibilities. Infinite potentials."

"Right, but I've been trying to choose a new reality where I have a better job and I've been getting nowhere," said Flashy Glasses.

"Have you tried reconnecting with your purpose?" asked Tiku. "You might find that your job is a part of this purpose. You might discover that it is unimportant to your purpose. Whatever you learn, remember that manifestation is contained within choices. And all choices are merely reflections of a single choice. The choice of where to place your attention."

"Wow," said a silver-haired woman. "Just wow. Can you say more about the relationship between choices and manifestation?"

"Certainly," said Tiku. "A tree chooses where to place each branch and root and leaf to best manifest its consciousness in the world. These things are no accident. The beings known as humans make similar decisions about their lives, and are usually unaware of these decisions. Manifestation is a more conscious participation in this usually unconscious creative act. It is becoming aware of where in all of probability space to grow a leaf to maximize exposure to sunlight."

"So you're saying that manifestation is about making unconscious choices into conscious ones?" asked Silver Hair.

"This is a part of the mechanics of manifestation, yes," said Tiku. "With respect to the energetic constraints of your chosen circumstance."

"Chosen?" said a man in a flat cap. "I didn't choose to have a sister die on 321. I didn't choose to have a rare and painful illness. You keep talking about how everything is in our power, but I don't have power over any of it."

"All humans make the choice to join a soul group and abide by its wishes," said Tiku. "In some cases, the soul group may play out dramas that require individuals to play characters that no person would willingly play. Yet even these characters have choices to make. Infinite choices. But we are sensing that you have a question that feels more immediate."

"That's right," said Flat Cap. "Ever since my sister died, I've felt her with me. I ask her things and she gives me answers. Meaningful answers. How can that be?"

"Remember, you are consciousness, no matter if you are in a body or not," said Tiku. "Your consciousness is partly your sister's consciousness, even now. So it is a part of you that you are interacting with. A part that certainly appreciates the attention."

"Thanks," said Flat Hat. "That actually makes sense."

"We are reaching the allotted time for this transmission," said Tiku. "Who holds our final question?"
